Volunteers: The Spirit of Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region
Volunteers bring comfort and peace to patients and families through their gift of presence as well as bringing much needed support behind the scenes, in the office or at special events.
What do Volunteers Do?
- Provide companionship to patients
- Assist with light household chores
- Provide transportation
- Provide a meal
- Give caregivers a break
- Assist with office tasks
- Assist at special events
- If qualified, provide special services such as:
- Notary
- Haircuts
- Massage Therapy
- Music
What is the time commitment for a volunteer?
Maximum of 3-4 hours a week whether a patient volunteer or office volunteer. Generally one hour if providing a "special skill".
