Become a Volunteer

Volunteers: The Spirit of Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region

Volunteers bring comfort and peace to patients and families through their gift of presence as well as bringing much needed support behind the scenes, in the office, or at special events.

What do Volunteers Do?

  • Provide companionship to patients
  • Assist with light household chores
  • Provide transportation
  • Provide a meal
  • Give caregivers a break
  • Assist with office tasks
  • Assist at special events
  • If qualified, provide special services such as:
    • Notary
    • Haircuts
    • Massage Therapy
    • Music

What is the time commitment for a volunteer?

Maximum of 3-4 hours a week, whether a patient volunteer or office volunteer.  Generally one hour per week if providing a "special skill".
